Seasonal Trends for Fall 2012

This season offers a lot of choices for quick changes in styling and accessorizing. Try more than one, don’t let you hairstyle be boring!

Hair-color

Brunettes – Going much warmer and darker. Think shades of chocolate and hot fudge. The darker shakes bring highlights to your eyes and healthy skin. Deep and rich but not extreme.

Redheads – Deeper and richer. More concentration of pigment. Think crimson; try using copper, auburn or mahogany to create multi-dimensional tones in your fall and winter styles.

Blonds – There are many choices this fall for blonds:

  • Adding warmer gold tones to bring sparkle back to sun-faded hair.
  • Beige is the new tone for blonds this season. It is being used create a new fresh vibrant tone.
  • Ready to be daring, go to the extreme cool with icy highlights. Great for Blue eyes.

Accessorize

Bangs with a capital “B”. This seasons ultimate hair accessory. Choices range from full, short, square or rounded. Give a tired style a new eye catching punch.

Hair Ornaments – Hair jewelery for your style. Gives you a dash of bling in an instant. A great way to accessorize your hair for the holidays.

Buns, Braids and Romantic Twists

New ways to create a quick style change. Great for the holidays great for the evening.

Styling

Perfectly imperfect textures – AKA Deadhead or Beach Hair. A great way to have a modern look that takes no time, giving you more time to party! Uneven textures, not picture perfect styling for this season. Your fingers work best.

Modern Bouffants

Evening Hair

Deep side parts are popping up everywhere. AKA – The Lady Comb-over. To achieve drama for the evening, start your part at the highest part of your eyebrow and extend it back at least three inches. Add a slight bump in the crown and use medium hairspray, such as Aquage Transforming Spray, to hold.

Tousled Bob

Bobs are still going strong as we transition into this fall season. Gone though are the perfectly quaff does. Messy and textured are the keywords in this seasons Bobs.

Super Sleek

If you have fine hair, play it up with a smooth style and healthy color. Use cute pins to pull the hair back off the face on one side and sweep the bangs across to texture.

Swinging Layers

Not to heavy ends. Deeper layers. To achieve use Aquage Root Lifter and blow dry with a round brush. Use a texturizing fiber like Sebastian Clay or Crew Fiber to dirty up the ends and add a touch of texture.

Polished Ponies

Clean and classic. High, middle or low on the head. Great for bad hair days, and still look great.
